Our charming 16th-century coaching inn transports you to the pages of a Thomas Hardy novel. Featured in Tess of the d’Urbervilles, our atmospheric inn boasts old beams, oak panelling, roaring fires and an original skittle alley. The beautiful rural setting in the heart of the Dorset countryside is complemented by our warm, attentive service and fine local cuisine..
We are delighted that our doors are open once more, and the Acorn team are looking forward to welcoming our guests back.
We are continuing our efforts to phase out single-use plastics by 2022 and reducing our food waste in partnership with Winnow. We are proud to support local charities such as Belu Water who give 100% of their profits to WaterAid to help transform lives with clean water. We sell Belu Water in our hotels and the initiative helps to reduce our carbon footprint. We also help to support the local community as well as a variety of initiatives, and together with The TreadRight Foundation, we strive to #MakeTravelMatter.
