We are proud to elevate the experience even further with our exceptional selection of PMD teas from Sri Lanka, showcasing an array of exquisite Ceylon varieties. When you join us for afternoon tea, our dedicated team will personally guide you through the collection, introducing each tea and presenting the beautifully displayed leaves for you to admire, smell, and choose from. This thoughtful ritual enhances your experience, allowing you to select the perfect brew to accompany our beautiful array of pastries, each crafted with elegance and indulgence in mind. Whether you’re discovering a new favourite or savouring a timeless classic, our tea service brings a touch of ceremony and discovery to every visit.


For our guests with dietary preferences, we proudly offer delicious vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free afternoon teas. And don’t forget your four-legged companion! Our famous Doggy Afternoon Tea features a delightful selection of treats tailored just for them.

Monday to Sunday: 1 to 6pm with the last sitting at 4pm

The location of an afternoon tea experience is dependent on the day and the number of guests.

Dogs are welcome in our Tea Room only on Thursdays and Sundays, with a limit of one dog per table. Please book in advance as availability is limited.

Best of British

Join us for Best of British, a quintessential afternoon tea at The Egerton House Hotel. Savour classic favourites from Battenberg to lemon drizzle, with delicate sandwiches, warm scones, and the finest teas for an indulgent taste of tradition.

Price: £75 per adult, £45 per child under 12, £94 per adult with a glass of champagne.

Please note, the Best of British Afternoon Tea will recommence in the new year.

Afternoon tea parties

Mark those special moments with an afternoon tea party at The Egerton. Whether celebrating a birthday, baby shower, or any other occasion, private hire is available throughout the day for a room hire fee of £300 for two hours and £100 per hour thereafter. Alternatively, a minimum spend is required to make the booking.
